Escaping Fate Overthrowing Fate Book 1 eBook Tinalynge Steven Barrera
This is a story of a boy training in martial arts while being a slave for a cruel master. Soon events transpire and he is forced to run. Training daily he masters new powers and is forced to fight others with a friend he meets along the way. He does this all in hopes of reaching a new height of power to cure the pain in his heart with revenge. The story has great potential but the authors failed in three main parts.
Her first mistake is jumbled facts. She will say one thing then completely forget she said that. Example: he can do one special move but it drains him, then one day later he can do that move and fight 8 guys while not even breaking a sweat. Another example is he was given money by his master but then they say his master never paid him a cent. There are many examples in this book... it is very bad. It almost ruined the entire book because the facts she gives are ones that make and break characters.
The other main problem is the repetitive nature in the story. Information established at the very start will be told throughout the entire book more than 30 times. Whole paragraphs are repeated...
The last big problem is spelling, missing words and double words. Also the letter "t" is randomly put in sentences... weird.
All in all I liked it and will read book two.

Escaping Fate Overthrowing Fate Book 1 eBook Tinalynge Steven Barrera Reviews
All the good plot elements, torment, murder, betrayal, revenge, personal growth, budding romance and drive. The author's writing is getting better with each book as well. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
This book was enjoyable, and fairly original. My one problem is that the narrator is not reliable. There is one spot that the main character is said to be a genius. Later he is said to be only a little above average. By the end of the book he is said to be a genius again. It gets a little confusing. Overall a good book
I really loved this story! My first look at this genre was the first of this author's first series, I loved it. Since then, I've read a lot that I loved and some not so good from other authors but this book shines. Great MC, great relationships, worldbuilding and action. Enjoyed the steady and sucessful growth and look forward to number two. az
While this book killed some time it felt mostly like a braggart contest of star ranks and endless explanations of how qi works. The actual storyline and character interaction is well written! Just... Not enough for me to continue this series. I enjoyed the Blue Pheonix series Much more! (It almost feels like someone else entirely wrote this one o.0)
Overall I will say that even though the story was pretty cut and paste it WAS a good read. Biggest issue is that I believe the author needs to have someone proofread their work better due to smaller syntax and grammar errors that plague all the books she writes. For a easy decent read and not bad magical system I would recommend this novel as the start to what might be a good series.
After reading the Blue Pheonix stories by Tinalynge I of course was looking for anything else by this author and ran across this novel. This story is the beginning of (so far) a pretty typical oppressed child runs from home vowing for revenge against (insert protagonist A) only to find out that he can (insert power here) and meets (insert protagonist b and c) wile cute girl A enters his life. The biggest deviation from the norm in this series is the skills in which the main char has he actually has to work for.
The plot is pretty basic and very juvenile. Boy works really hard, and everything works out. There is no real conflict, all turns out well. It is bit sad that this kid is often very rude, mean, even vicious. However, the author seems to portray him as justified. The grammar and language is rather rudimentary. Another issue is that the author actually has conflicting statements. One moment the other will state a fact, then later the author will say something different, almost to make the main character seem cooler. It is kind of funny but also ridiculous.
This is only the second book in this Genre that I have read, and it soars miles above the other author grammatically as well as professionalism. It seems to be a common occurrence for these Authors to have passion and ideas, but they try to jump head first into professional writing, Tinalynge seems to have put more work into that and I hope she continues. She has potential, and I will buy the next book in this series to see if she can flourish and grow as quickly as Xu Min! But please, please, please, pick a name and stick with it! The main characters name changing from one paragraph to the next is quite confusing, but when it happens enough times that you still notice the change but it no longer causes a moment of confusion that is terrible! From what I can see the story is a common theme in this Genre, so if you are a fan or looking to explore the Genre then I highly recommend this book, just brace yourself for the awful grammar and virtual absence of editing. If you can do that, you will find quite an enjoyable read! And as a heads up Xu Min and Yu Hue (I think I spelled that right, if not it's very close.) are the same character. Don't let me down Tinalynge! I will not be as kind if the next book doesn't show dramatic improvements in the areas I mentioned. I look forward to the next book!
